UGANDA PREMEIR LEAGUE

Record league champions SC Villa could soon face a tough decision as rising star Hassan Mubiru continues to draw strong interest from top clubs across the region.

The versatile attacker has emerged as one of the most exciting talents this season, playing a key role in Villa’s push for domestic success.

Mubiru has directly contributed to over ten goals in all competitions, helping the Jogoos remain in contention for the league title while also reaching the quarterfinal stage of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

A product of the Express FC Academy, Mubiru has particularly impressed with his creativity, leading Villa’s assist charts with six in the league.

He has also chipped in with two goals, showcasing his ability to influence games from wide positions.

His adaptability remains a major asset, with the youngster comfortable operating as a striker, attacking midfielder, or winger on either flank.

His performances have not gone unnoticed. Tanzanian outfit Singida Black Stars are reportedly leading the race for his signature, with the club home to Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho keen to strengthen their attacking options.

Fellow Tanzanian giants Simba SC and Rwanda’s decorated side APR FC are also monitoring the situation closely.

Despite Mubiru still having more than a year left on his contract, his suitors are believed to be ready to table offers to secure his services. This puts Villa in a delicate position as they weigh the prospect of cashing in against retaining one of their most influential players.
