Buhimba United Saints Stage Comeback to Secure Vital Win Over Kataka

Buhimba United Saints once again displayed their championship credentials by staging a thrilling comeback to defeat Kataka 2-1 in a FUFA Big League showdown on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

The table toppers reinforced their dominance, widening the gap at the summit while securing a double over Lufumbi’s side.

Earlier in the season, they had also triumphed over Kataka with the same 2-1 scoreline in an away fixture, making them the only side to conquer Kataka on their home turf this campaign.

During the weekend clash, Kataka struck first through Michael Olinga in the 40th minute, momentarily seizing control.

However, their advantage was short-lived, as John Wesley Kisakye netted an equalizer within a minute, ensuring that Buhimba immediately restored balance to the contest.

The match remained evenly poised until the 76th minute when Lucas Mola found the back of the net, sealing a crucial victory for the home team.

Buhimba’s impressive form persists, with this win marking their fourth successive triumph, further solidifying their ambitions for top-flight football next season.

They now command the league standings with 35 points, four points ahead of their nearest rivals, Blacks Power and Gaddafi, who are tied at 31 points apiece.
