The Buganda Masaza Cup group stage returned on August 9 with a cagey goalless draw between Mawokota and Kyadondo at Nakivubo Stadium.
In a match that produced more midfield tussles than goalmouth action, both sides struggled to create meaningful chances, ending in a 0-0 deadlock for the second time this season.
The point sees Mawokota move to nine points from six matches, keeping them second on the log and just a point behind leaders Buweekula, who still have a game in hand.

With Bugerere and Bulemeezi also in the chase, the race for the top two spots, and a place in the quarterfinals is wide open.
For Kyadondo, however, the draw is a damaging result, they now sit on six points from as many games and will need a turnaround to stand any chance of advancing.
In other fixtures on August 9, Buvuma drew 1-1 with Bugerere, Butambala were held to a goalless draw by Kooki, and Kabula and Kyaggwe shared a 1-1 scoreline.
The next round of matches on August 17 could prove decisive, with Kyadondo travelling to Bugerere in a must-win tie, while Mawokota face a daunting trip to Mubende to take on table-toppers Buweekula.
