The Uganda Premier League returns with a heavyweight Tuesday night affair as defending champions Vipers SC host UPDF FC under the Kitende floodlights, aiming to continue their unbeaten charge toward the summit.
Sitting on 13 points from five games, the Venoms are the only side yet to taste defeat this season.
Their momentum was briefly checked by SC Villa over the weekend, but they remain firmly in contention, a victory over the army side will haul them to within touching distance of joint leaders KCCA and Villa.
Vipers have historically dominated this fixture, winning 12 of the last 16 encounters, and coach Jacky Ivan Minnaert is expected to inject fresh legs into his lineup.

After a gruelling schedule that saw his charges play three matches in nine days, the Belgian tactician has hinted at a reshuffle that could offer long-awaited minutes to Milton Karisa, Isaac Ogwang, Ashraf Mandela, Paul Mbowa, and Taddeo Lwanga.
UPDF also faced Villa in their previous outing, suffering a narrow 1–0 defeat courtesy of an Ibrahim Kasinde strike.
Their head coach Paul Kiwanuka returns to Kitende with hopes of engineering a rare upset, one that would steer his side away from early-season relegation anxieties.
