Vipers SC Plot January Exit for Yallah as Sukuya Contract Runs Down

Vipers SC are preparing for squad changes in the January transfer window, with Liberian striker Mark Yallah and Angolan winger Pedro Honjo Chimbiambiulo, popularly known as Sukuya, both expected to leave the Kitende-based club.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Yallah’s future with the Venoms hangs in the balance after failing to make a significant impact since his arrival.

The forward joined Vipers in the previous transfer window on a three-year contract but has struggled to cement a regular starting berth.

Yallah was signed on the back of an outstanding 2024/25 season with Liberian side FC Fassell, where he scored 20 goals to finish as the league’s second-highest scorer, just one behind Nicholas Andrew.

However, his goal-scoring form has not translated to the Uganda Premier League, prompting Vipers to consider parting ways with the striker this January.

Meanwhile, Angolan winger Sukuya is also heading for the exit door, with the club not expected to renew his contract when it expires in June. The wide man joined Vipers at the beginning of the 2024/25 season during the tenure of former head coach Nikola Kavazovic.

Prior to his move to Uganda, Sukuya featured for several Angolan clubs including Wiliete Sport Clube de Benguela SAD, Talentos de Benguela, and ANZ Desporto Angolano, but his stint at Kitende appears set to conclude at the end of the season.

Vipers SC will shift focus back to league action as they resume Uganda Premier League duties on Tuesday, 6th January, when they host Mbarara City in a floodlit encounter at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
