Ibrahim Kasule Seals Season-Long Loan Move to MLS NEXT Pro Newcomers Connecticut United

Uganda Cranes midfielder Ibrahim Kasule will spend the 2026 campaign with Connecticut United FC after New York Red Bulls II confirmed a season-long loan move to the MLS NEXT Pro newcomers.

Kasule departs Red Bull II as one of the club’s most influential players in recent history.

Across three seasons in New York, the attack-minded midfielder made 64 appearances, netting 28 goals and registering 11 assists, numbers that propelled him to the summit as the club’s all-time leading goal scorer.

The 22-year-old joined Red Bull II in 2023 from Uganda Premier League outfit Wakiso Giants and wasted little time making his mark.

He made his MLS NEXT Pro debut on April 9, 2023, against Columbus Crew 2, setting the tone for a productive spell that combined creativity, goals, and consistency.

Kasule’s club form also earned him recognition on the international stage.

He has since collected two caps with the Uganda Cranes, making his senior national team debut in October 2023 during a FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Algeria.

At New York Red Bulls II, Kasule links to fellow Ugandan international Steven Sserwadda, highlighting the growing Ugandan footprint at the club.
