Teen Cranes Open Morocco 2026 Campaign Against Zimbabwe

Uganda’s U-17 Women’s National Team, the Teen Cranes, have been handed a Zimbabwe test in the opening stage of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026 African Qualifiers.

The draw, conducted on Saturday in Rabat, Morocco, placed Uganda against Zimbabwe in the first round, with the two-legged tie scheduled for April.

The Teen Cranes will travel to Zimbabwe for the first leg between 10th and 12th April, before hosting the return leg a week later in Kampala (17th–19th April).

Progress from this tie will set up a second-round showdown against either Namibia or Kenya, who were also paired together in the opening round.

The second round will be played in May, with first-leg matches slated for 22nd–24th May and the return fixtures between 29th and 31st May.

Africa’s qualification journey will be completed through a final round, from which four teams will secure tickets to the global showpiece and join hosts Morocco at the expanded FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
