Amus College School Shock Kiyinda Boys to Reach Uganda Cup Round of 32

Amus College School Football Club produced one of the biggest upsets of the 2026 Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 after eliminating FUFA Big League side Kiyinda Boys with a convincing 2-0 victory on Sunday, 8th February 2026.

Eastern Regional League forward Lucky Wanyama opened the scoring early in the encounter, stunning the visitors with a brilliant finish in the 9th minute. Wanyama calmly lifted the ball over the goalkeeper to hand Amus College School a deserved lead.

Kiyinda Boys pushed for an equaliser but struggled to break down a disciplined Amus defence that remained organised throughout the contest.

With the game nearing its conclusion, Mudashir Ijosiga sealed the historic win in dramatic fashion. The lethal forward displayed sharp goal-poacher instincts, positioning himself perfectly before smashing the ball home from close range deep in added time to confirm Amus’ place in the Round of 32.

The result means Amus College School have successfully booked their slot in the next stage of the competition at the expense of higher-ranked opposition.
