Botswana 0-1 Uganda Cranes – Player Rating

Denis Onyango 7.0

A dream return from retirement for the veteran goalkeeper. Rarely tested, but his composure, communication, and leadership steadied the defence throughout. A clean sheet he will cherish on his comeback.

Tobby Sibbick 7.5

Another calm and confident outing from the Burton Albion defender. Kept his flank secure and almost crowned his night with a fine shot that was tipped away by the Botswana goalkeeper.

Aziz Kayondo 7.0

Dependable as ever. Worked tirelessly to cut out crosses and still found moments to surge forward. Handled Botswana’s pressure down his side with poise.

Elio Capradossi 6.5

A slightly rusty start, but the Italy-based centre-back grew into the game. Timed his tackles well and made quick, clean recoveries when needed.

Jordan Obita 7.5

Commanding performance. Calm, composed, and precise — Obita continues to shine as Uganda’s left-side defensive anchor. Instrumental in building play from the back.

Khalid Aucho 7.0

The heartbeat of the midfield. Fierce in duels, disciplined in positioning, and fearless in blocking shots. A true leader’s performance.

Kenneth Ssemakula 6.0

Did the dirty work quietly but effectively. Broke up play, recycled possession intelligently, and kept the midfield engine humming.

Allan Okello 8.0

The architect of the winning moment. Delivered a pinpoint corner for Ssemugabi’s goal and dictated the rhythm of the game. Uganda’s creative spark throughout.

Rogers Mato 6.5

Lively and aggressive in attack, firing several shots on target. Deserved a goal for his effort but luck wasn’t on his side.

Jude Ssemugabi 8.0

The match-winner. Perfectly timed his run and header to net the only goal. Worked hard off the ball and stayed alert throughout.

Steven Mukwala 8.0

Battled hard upfront and linked up play well, though still chasing that elusive national-team goal. His work rate was commendable.

Substitutions:

Travis Mutyaba – 6.5
Injected flair and confidence after coming on for Okello. Always looked eager to make something happen.

Ikpeazu Mubiru – 5.0
Showed improvement with a few tidy touches but needs to do more to cement his place in the squad.
