BUL FC Reunite with Former Goalkeeper Tom Ikarah

BUL FC are on the brink of pulling off a sensational reunion with their former shot-stopper Tom Ikarah, in what promises to be one of the most talked-about moves of the transfer window, Swift Sports has established.

Ikarah, a towering presence between the sticks, left BUL at the dawn of last season but quickly made headlines in Ethiopia with Sidama Bunna. The lanky custodian put up a string of commanding performances, racking up an impressive 11 clean sheets in just 20 league outings, and steering Sidama Bunna to a respectable 5th-place finish in the Ethiopian Premier League.

Beyond his league heroics, Ikarah also played a pivotal role as Sidama Bunna lifted the Ethiopian Cup, though their glory was controversially stripped away in the boardroom after allegations of fielding ineligible players.

This homecoming marks the return of a proven guardian, his last season at BUL saw him crowned best goalkeeper in the league with 12 clean sheets, powering the Eastern Giants to a runners-up finish behind eventual champions SC Villa.

Ikarah is no stranger to Ugandan football circles, having also featured for Kirinya Jinja SS, KCCA FC, Mbarara City, and Police FC. His experience and commanding presence are expected to shore up BUL’s goalkeeping department, particularly amid the uncertainty surrounding Joel Mutakubwa’s future.

The Abbey Bogere Kikomeko-led side has been busy reinforcing its squad. BUL have already secured the services of former Kitara FC goalkeeper Farouk Yawe, along with exciting talents Tah Barni Kelvin, Isaac Ssenyuja, Seiri Arigumaho, Lawrence Kambugu, and Simon Achidi.
