2025/26 Uganda Premier League | Matchday 11 | Tuesday, December 16
BUL FC’s struggles showed no signs of easing on Tuesday after they fell to a 3–1 defeat against a well-drilled Police FC side at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, deepening concerns around their current run in the Uganda Premier League.
The setback condemned BUL to a fifth straight loss and a sixth consecutive match without victory, a sequence that has pushed them into the bottom half of the table.
Police, by contrast, looked composed and purposeful throughout, collecting three points that lifted them to third place in the standings.

Police were on the front foot from the opening whistle as Dennis Kalanzi squandered a golden opportunity within the first minute, while Daniel Jakony soon tested BUL’s defence with a header that flashed wide.
The early pressure eventually told in the 14th minute when Juma Ikamba finished from close range following a well-weighted cross from Richard Matovu.
BUL were left reeling and could have conceded again if not for a pair of timely interventions from goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga.
Despite being second best for long spells, the hosts found a way back in the 29th minute as Abdul Karim Ndugwa seized on a rare lapse to draw BUL level.
Parity did little to change the balance of play after the restart. Police controlled possession and territory, while BUL laboured to build momentum in attack.
Their resistance finally broke late on. With three minutes remaining, Jakony atoned for his earlier miss by converting a flowing move crafted by Saidi Kyeyune.
As BUL chased an equaliser, spaces opened up and Police took full advantage. Brian Obedi sealed the contest in stoppage time with a composed finish, underlining a dominant away performance.
The result leaves BUL 12th on the log with 10 points from 11 games, while Police continue their impressive climb.
Elsewhere on Matchday 11, UPDF FC and NEC FC shared the spoils in a 0–0 draw, a result that nudged NEC up to eighth place, one point clear of UPDF in 11th.
