The stage is set for an electrifying 2025/26 CAF Champions League group phase after the draw held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Monday, November 3, 2025.
The ceremony, conducted by African football icons Alexander Song and Christopher Katongo, has thrown up mouthwatering clashes that promise drama, flair, and unforgettable moments across the continent.
Reigning champions Pyramids FC of Egypt headline Group A, a pool that crackles with intensity.
They are joined by RS Berkane of Morocco, a side they narrowly edged in the CAF Super Cup just a fortnight ago. Rivers United of Nigeria, and Power Dynamos of Zambia, who famously knocked out Uganda’s Vipers SC in the qualifiers.

In Group B, record 11-time winners Al Ahly find themselves in a challenging section featuring Tanzania’s Young Africans (Yanga SC), Morocco’s AS FAR, and Algeria’s JS Kabylie.
Group C features African heavyweights Mamelodi Sundowns, the pride of South Africa and home to Uganda Cranes shot-stopper Denis Onyango.
The “Brazilians of Africa” face stiff competition from Al Hilal (Sudan), MC Alger (Algeria), and St. Eloi Lupopo (DR Congo), in what could be the most tactically intriguing group of the campaign.
Rounding off the lineup, Group D pits Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis against Tanzania’s Simba SC, home to Ugandan forward Steven Mukwala, Atletico Petroleos of Angola, and Stade Malien of Mali. The group promises a battle of experience versus momentum, with every fixture poised to be a continental thriller.
