Eric Ssenjobe Leaves Rwanda’s Police FC

Rwanda Premier League outfit Police FC have confirmed the departure of Ugandan left back Eric Senjobe, bringing an end to his two-and-a-half-year stay at the Kigali-based club.

Senjobe joined Police FC in June 2024, arriving with expectations of filling the void left by Derrick Ndahiro, who had completed a move to Vipers SC in Uganda.

Despite the promise that surrounded his signing, consistent playing time proved difficult to come by for the defender during his spell in Rwanda.

Although opportunities on the pitch were limited, Senjobe leaves Police FC with a notable achievement to his name. He was part of the squad that lifted the Rwanda Super Cup, after Police FC stunned fierce rivals APR FC in last year’s final.

The 26-year-old defender first made his name at KCCA FC in 2017, where his performances quickly put him on the radar as one of Uganda’s promising full-backs.

He later joined Uganda Police FC in 2019 before sealing a move to URA FC, where he spent several seasons in the Uganda Premier League.

Following the expiry of his contract at URA FC, Senjobe moved to Rwanda as a free agent, linking up with Police FC in 2024 in search of a new challenge.

With Senjobe’s exit confirmed, Kateregga Allan “Dancing Rasta” remains the only Ugandan player at Police FC. Allan recently returned to action after a lengthy injury layoff and continues to represent Uganda at the Rwandan club.
