The decision followed his spirited displays with Football Classroom, a side formed through a WhatsApp community, which took part in the 51st edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Across his career, Sserumaga showcased his talent with a range of leading clubs, among them KB Lions, SC Villa, Vipers SC, Police FC, URA FC, St. George in Ethiopia, Helsingborg in Sweden, and Rayon Sport of Rwanda.
Wearing the national colors, he represented the Uganda Cranes 34 times and registered six goals, leaving a legacy as one of the most gifted midfielders of his era.
Today, the football family and the wider public are urged to come together and lend a hand to ensure he receives the care he desperately needs.
