The National Basketball League playoff finals have been pushed back following a request from Namuwongo Blazers, who are gearing up for their maiden continental adventure.
The Blazers petitioned the Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) to defer the championship series, citing the need to channel full attention to the upcoming Road to BAL campaign, which begins with the FIBA Africa Zone V Qualifiers.
The regional showdown is set for October 14–19 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where the Blazers will be representing Uganda in pursuit of a slot at the Basketball Africa League.
In a statement released today, FUBA confirmed the adjustment, revealing that the highly anticipated finals between the Blazers and record 10-time champions City Oilers will now tip off on Sunday, October 26.

This will be the second consecutive year the Blazers square up against the Oilers in the grand finals, with both sides expected to light up the local basketball stage once more after continental duty is complete.
