Newly appointed Kiyinda Boys head coach Emmy Kisakye wasted no time stamping his authority, guiding the Gayaza-based outfit to a crucial 2-1 win over Iganga United in his debut match on Matchday 9 of the FUFA Big League at Betherm Recreation Ground in Kiwenda.
Kiyinda Boys, who have endured a troubled start to the campaign, looked revitalised under Kisakye’s fresh stewardship.
After a cagey opening half, forward Jimmy Ndalambi broke the deadlock in the 60th minute, steering home a composed finish to send the home supporters into delirium.

Iganga United attempted to claw their way back but were punished again in the 82nd minute when defender Michael Kimera surged forward to slot in a late second, sealing the decisive points for the hosts.
A consolation strike for Iganga offered little change to the final outcome as Kisakye’s charges held firm.
The victory lifts Kiyinda Boys off the foot of the table and onto 14th place with 9 points, injecting new hope into their survival battle.
Iganga United, meanwhile, slide down to 6th position with 13 points, losing ground in the race for promotion.
