The FUFA Disciplinary Committee has delivered a series of firm punishments following investigations into incidents that disrupted several FUFA Big League fixtures.
After reviewing three separate cases, the committee issued significant sanctions, each accompanied by a fine of UGX 500,000.
Nebbi Central Hit With Point & Goal Deduction
One of the most impactful decisions involved the Nebbi Central vs. Wakiso Giants clash played on September 15.
The committee found Nebbi Central supporters guilty of unruly behaviour that interfered with the smooth running of the game.
As a consequence, Nebbi Central has been stripped of 2 league points and 2 goals, in addition to the mandated fine.
The deduction has seen the club tumble from 9th to 11th on the table, now standing at 12 points with a –4 goal tally.
Onduparaka vs. Bunyaruguru Match Ordered for Replay
In another ruling, FUFA directed that the Onduparaka vs. Bunyaruguru fixture, initially played on September 29, be replayed.
This follows issues that compromised the integrity of the encounter. Despite the decision for a rematch, Onduparaka has also been slapped with a UGX 500,000 fine for their role in the disruption.
Paidha Black Angels Midfielder Suspended
The third ruling targeted Allan Mungumiya of Paidha Black Angels, who was found culpable of misconduct toward match officials during a game against Kataka FC on November 23.
The midfielder has been suspended for two matches, during which he is prohibited from engaging in any team activities. He will also pay a UGX 500,000 fine.
The latest decisions underscore FUFA’s uncompromising stance on discipline, fan behaviour, and respect for match officials.
