Kenya Police Bullets Close In on Crested Cranes Star Daisy Nakaziro

Kenya Police Bullets are edging closer to securing the signature of experienced Ugandan goalkeeper Daisy Nakaziro, as the reigning Kenyan champions continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the January transfer window.

Sources indicate that negotiations between the Nairobi-based side and the Crested Cranes shot-stopper are at an advanced stage, with the Bullets keen to add proven quality between the posts. The move, if finalized, would further underline the club’s increasing confidence in Ugandan talent.

Nakaziro has been unattached since parting ways with Kampala Queens at the conclusion of the 2024–25 season, although she remained active on the continental stage after representing the Ugandan champions in the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League.

Her availability, coupled with a wealth of top-level experience, has made her an attractive prospect, prompting Kenya Police Bullets to move swiftly in their pursuit.

Widely considered the most successful goalkeeper in Ugandan women’s football, Nakaziro boasts an impressive résumé. She played a pivotal role in Kampala Queens’ title-winning campaign, registering a record 15 clean sheets to clinch the league’s Golden Glove award.

A switch to Kenya would see her become the fourth Ugandan at the club, linking up with compatriots Zainah Namuleme, Margret Kunihira and Desire Katisi Natooro, and strengthening the Bullets’ Ugandan contingent.

The potential acquisition comes at a crucial point in the season. Kenya Police Bullets currently occupy third place on the league standings with 19 points from nine outings, just a single point adrift of leaders Ulinzi Starlets, while also holding a game in hand.

Bringing in a goalkeeper of Nakaziro’s calibre could prove decisive as the champions push to reclaim top spot and defend their crown.
