StarTimes Uganda Premier League action continues on Wednesday, January 28, with two intriguing fixtures lined up at Royal Park Butema and FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
At 4pm, Kitara FC welcome Express FC to Royal Park Butema with momentum firmly on their side.
The Royals have turned their home ground into a fortress, going six matches unbeaten and collecting five successive wins in that run. Another positive result would see them stretch their impressive sequence and further cement their push towards the league’s leading pack.
Kitara head coach Wasswa Bbosa faces a familiar opponent, having previously lifted the league title with Express.
The tactician is keen to make home advantage count as his side chase maximum points.
“Facing a big club like Express demands focus and belief. Playing at home gives us confidence and we must take advantage if we are to stay competitive,” Bbosa noted.
The encounter carries added spice, with several Kitara players set to come up against their former employers.
John Byamukama, Emmanuel Wasswa, Isa Lumu, Murushid Jjuuko, Frank Tumwesigye and George Ssenkaaba are among those with past ties to the Red Eagles, adding an emotional edge to the contest.

Express, meanwhile, sit 10th on 15 points and are under pressure to improve their away form, having failed to secure victory on the road in their last eight league outings.
A win in Butema would be a timely boost as they look to put distance between themselves and the relegation zone.
Later in the evening, attention shifts to FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, where record champions SC Villa entertain Mbarara City under the lights at 8pm.
The clash presents Villa with an opportunity to assert their pedigree, while Mbarara City will be eager to upset the odds and collect valuable points away from home.
