Lugazi FC have officially completed the signing of experienced midfielder Mulambuzi Hamza, popularly known as “Koke,” from Mbarara City FC on a two-year contract.
The creative midfielder arrives as one of Lugazi’s key reinforcements ahead of the decisive stage of the season, with the club aiming to strengthen its squad depth and competitiveness in both league and cup engagements.
Mulambuzi’s move also marks a reunion with head coach Mugerwa Simon Peter, a tactician he previously worked with during their time together at Mbarara City and earlier at Buddo Secondary School.
“Koke” is not new to top-flight football, having featured for Proline FC and traditional giants SC Villa in the Uganda Premier League.
His football journey also includes impressive performances for Buddo SS in secondary school competitions, where he established himself as a disciplined and technically gifted midfielder.
Mulambuzi is expected to add composure, creativity, and experience to Lugazi’s midfield department.
The club has confirmed that the midfielder has already linked up with his new teammates and will be available for selection immediately.
He is also expected to be part of Lugazi FC’s squad for the Stanbic Uganda Cup fixture against Kisugu United scheduled for Friday.
