Lugazi FC Stand Tall in Lugogo Stalemate Against KCCA FC

Lugazi FC showcased grit, character, and tactical brilliance as they battled to a hard-fought goalless draw against KCCA FC on Thursday evening at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

From the opening whistle, the Leaders were disciplined, organized, and unyielding, refusing to bow to the relentless pressure of the Kasasiro Boys.

Every attack from the home side met a resilient wall of yellow and green, marshaled by an inspired performance from goalkeeper Juma Mutebi, who was deservedly crowned Man of the Match.

Mutebi produced a string of world-class saves, twice denying Sammy Ssebaduka in the first half, and continued to frustrate KCCA’s forwards with breathtaking reflexes until the final whistle.

His heroics kept Lugazi FC firmly in the contest and ensured the visitors left Lugogo with a well-earned point.

Despite KCCA’s dominance in possession and waves of late attacks, Lugazi’s backline, anchored by a determined defensive unit stood their ground, showcasing a masterclass in composure and team discipline.

The draw means Lugazi FC maintain their strong start to the campaign, sitting fourth on the table, while KCCA FC move into second place on five points, trailing leaders Buhimba United Saints by four.
