Proline, Lufula Light Up Opening Day as Kampala Regional League Returns

Football fever sweeps through the city once again as the Kampala Regional League officially kicks off this Sunday, November 2, with a thrilling doubleheader at the FUFA Kadiba Stadium.

Former top-flight giants Proline FC begin their journey back to glory when they face a determined Lufula FC at 4pm.

With renewed energy and a point to prove, Proline are expected to put on a show for their loyal supporters, but Lufula, known for their fearless approach, could make the afternoon anything but easy.

Later in the evening, the same venue will host Mbogo FC against Kisugu United at 7pm, rounding off a football-filled day.

Both encounters will be broadcast live on TV, a major boost for the league’s visibility and a testament to its growing stature within Ugandan football.

This season marks another exciting chapter for the Kampala Regional League, which continues to attract a passionate following thanks to its competitive edge and unpredictable outcomes.

The action continues on Tuesday, November 4, with six matches scheduled across different Kampala venues.

The Nakawa Derby headlines the day as Water FC welcomes Mutungo FC at the UICT Grounds, while Edgars FC take on Police Young FC at Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

Other fixtures will see Buganda Road FC face Black Stars FC at Express Grounds, Kanyanya, Kireka United FC meet Lukuli Hearts United at Kings Park, Bweyogerere, and Born Talent FC clash with PCCP FC at Kyambogo College Grounds.

In Nsambya, Nsambya SC will host Wembley Boys FC at Yes Center before the day closes with Lungujja Galaxy SC battling Ntinda United FC under the floodlights at IUIU Kabojja Grounds.
