Shaban Muhammad Seals Glamorous Move to Gor Mahia

Uganda Cranes striker Shaban Muhammad has penned a glittering two-year deal with Kenyan football heavyweights Gor Mahia FC, marking the dawn of an exciting new chapter in his illustrious career.

The 27-year-old, jetted into Nairobi earlier this week and wasted no time, linking up with his new teammates in training on Tuesday.

His arrival ends swirling speculation of a fairytale return to KCCA FC, one of his former employers in Uganda.

Shaban’s football journey has taken him through celebrated sides such as Onduparaka FC, KCCA FC, Vipers SC, Raja Casablanca in Morocco, and most recently Al Hilal Benghazi in Libya.

On the international scene, he has donned the Uganda Cranes jersey 26 times, finding the back of the net on three occasions.

At Gor Mahia’s fortress, the forward is expected to light up the pitch and rekindle the club’s tradition of embracing East African talent.

He follows in the footsteps of Ugandan trailblazers like Khalid Aucho, Dan Muzeyi Sserunkuma, Shafik Kagimu, Godfrey Walusimbi, Charles Bbaale, Juma Balinya, and Innocent Wafula, all of whom left a mark in the iconic green and white.
