She Cranes Drawn In Pool A in The Africa Netball Cup

Fresh from lighting up Glasgow with a dominant showing at the 2025 Celtic Cup, the She Cranes are already gearing up for their next major assignment, the Africa Netball Cup slated for December 8–14 in Lilongwe, Malawi.

The continental showpiece, set to unfold at the Griffin Saenda Sports Complex, doubles as a crucial qualifier for the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney, giving Uganda yet another shot at edging closer to the global stage.

Uganda’s impressive form in Scotland not only lifted their confidence but also strengthened their global ranking ahead of official confirmation.

The momentum from Glasgow will be vital as the team seeks a stronger, sharper campaign in Malawi.

Last year’s competition left the She Cranes with unfinished business. They fell 65–50 to rivals South Africa in the final, a defeat many attributed to the two-year lull in the Uganda Netball Super League that had blunted competitive rhythm. This time, Uganda returns determined to rewrite the script.

The draw conducted during the Celtic Cup week placed the She Cranes in a balanced but demanding Pool A, alongside Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. On current form, Uganda enters the group as favourites, but nothing will come easy.
