Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32 Draw Unveiled as Villa Face BUL

The Stanbic Uganda Cup road to glory has officially been mapped out after the Round of 32 draw was held on Wednesday, 18th February 2026 at FUFA House, Mengo in Kampala.

The draw was conducted by former Uganda Cranes international Phillip Obwiny, who was assisted by Hajjati Aisha Nalule, FUFA’s Competitions Director, setting up a number of thrilling fixtures as clubs begin the chase for Uganda’s biggest domestic knockout prize.

The Round of 32 has produced five all-Uganda Premier League clashes, meaning several big names will be eliminated early in the competition.

Record nine-time winners SC Villa were handed a tough assignment as they will host former champions BUL FC at the FUFA Kadiba Stadium.

Ten-time winners KCCA FC will also begin their campaign at home, welcoming Mbarara City FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, in what promises to be a high-intensity encounter.

At the Kira Road Playground, Police FC will take on Lugazi FC, while army side UPDF FC will host NEC FC at the Bombo Military Grounds.

In Hoima, defending 2023/24 champions Kitara FC will face one of the most dangerous sides in the competition this season, Entebbe UPPC FC, who have been in red-hot form.

Other key fixtures on the card

Elsewhere, URA FC will host Blacks Power at Hamz Stadium, Ntugasaze, while Ntugasaze FC will welcome Express FC for another mouth-watering Kampala contest at the Kira Road Playground.

Former Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka FC will take on non-league outfit Football Classroom, while Iganga United have been paired with Melody Star.

Kigezi Home Boyz will play at home against Happy Boyz, and Six O’clock FC will battle Kataka FC in another fixture expected to attract huge attention.

Other ties include Tapo FC vs Mutolere FC, Bunyaruguru FC vs Amus College, and Red Devo FC vs Kaaro Karungi FC.

Holders Vipers SC received a relatively comfortable-looking draw, as they will host third division side Pajule Lions at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, with the Venoms aiming to defend their crown and retain the trophy.

According to FUFA, the Round of 32 fixtures will be played between 21st and 28th February 2026, with winners progressing to the Round of 16.

The Stanbic Uganda Cup, sponsored by Stanbic Bank Uganda, remains the country’s most prestigious knockout tournament, and carries major rewards, including a direct ticket to the CAF Confederation Cup for the eventual champion.
