Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) delivered a ruthless welcome for King Ceasor University, cruising to a 3–0 victory in the University Football League at the IUIU Kayembe Grounds.
Star forward Obwana Eric Brian put the hosts in control with a first-half brace, heading home from two well-worked deliveries (16′, 26′).
The rout was completed in the 67th minute when skipper Imam Shafik Kawooya stylishly flicked a back-heel past the visiting goalkeeper to make it 3–0.

King Ceasor looked lively in the opening moments and forced a scare in the 4th minute, but after that it was largely one-way traffic.
IUIU’s attack was fuelled by the pace and power of Emmanuel Shinkanga on the left; his teasing 16th-minute cross found Faisal Mumali, who headed down for Obwana to nod home the opener.
Ten minutes later Shinkanga again delivered from the flank, this time setting up a second header for Obwana after a clever flick from Faraji Mugambe.
By halftime the newcomers appeared nervous and disjointed, surviving mainly through the reflexes of goalkeeper Nuwarinda Gribone. King Ceasor changed personnel after the break and enjoyed brief spells of possession, but they lacked the cutting edge in the final third.
IUIU’s pressure finally told when Kawooya produced the cheeky back-heel finish that put the result beyond doubt.

The victory puts IUIU top of Group E with three points and a healthy goal difference. The Pepsi University Football League action continues on Saturday with Busitema University hosting Soroti University.
