UGANDA PREMEIR LEAGUE

UPDF, Buhimba United Saints Share Spoils

UPDF FC and Buhimba United Saints settled for a point apiece after playing out a 0-0 draw in the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League match day 16 encounter played at Bombo Barracks Ground on Friday, 13th February 2026.

The relegation-threatened sides produced a contest that saw each team enjoy spells of control, but neither managed to find the cutting edge needed to claim maximum points.

The biggest chance of the game fell to the hosts UPDF, who were awarded a penalty during the contest. However, skipper Bernard Muwanga failed to convert as his spot kick was missed, leaving the army side to rue a golden opportunity to collect all three points.

Despite the missed penalty, the two teams continued to push for a late winner, but the match eventually ended without a breakthrough as both defences stood firm.

The draw leaves UPDF FC still deep in the relegation zone with 12 points from 16 matches, sitting 15th on the 16-team league table.

Buhimba United Saints, also fighting to create breathing space, moved to 14 points from 16 games, occupying 13th position.

Both clubs will now turn attention to match day 17 fixtures where Buhimba United Saints will host in-form Police FC at Royals Park in Butema, Hoima City on Tuesday, 17th February 2026.

UPDF FC, meanwhile, will be on the road as they travel to Najjembe to face Lugazi FC at Lugazi Stadium on Wednesday, 18th February 2026 in another crucial relegation battle.
