Thursday February 19, 2026 will deliver another exciting chapter in the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League, with two key fixtures on the menu as SC Villa welcome Maroons under the lights while Kitara host URA in Butema.
SC Villa vs Maroons – FUFA Stadium, Kadiba (8pm)
SC Villa return to action desperate to end a worrying run of back-to-back draws that have slowed their momentum in the title chase.
The Jogoos have dropped four valuable points in recent outings, a setback that has allowed rivals to widen the gap.
However, the door remains open as league leaders Vipers SC have also stumbled in their last two matches, meaning Villa still have a chance to reignite their pursuit.

Villa currently sit eight points behind the top, and a victory at Kadiba would significantly narrow the margin, keeping their championship hopes alive and applying fresh pressure on the Venoms.
But they face a stubborn test against Maroons FC, a side that has enjoyed recent success against Villa. Despite losing 1-0 to Kitara in their last match, the Prison Warders will take confidence from the fact that they have beaten SC Villa in their last two meetings, including the reverse fixture played in Luzira.
Villa head coach Zeljko Kovacevic will be hoping his attackers rediscover their cutting edge, with Frank Ssebuufu and company expected to shoulder the responsibility after failing to convert chances in recent games.
Kitara vs URA – Royal Park, Butema (4pm)
Earlier in the day, Kitara FC host URA FC in a match that could reshape the top of the table.
Kitara enter the contest fully aware that victory would elevate them to the top of the standings, potentially overtaking Vipers courtesy of a superior head-to-head advantage.
The Hoima-based side has been boosted by the recent boardroom ruling that awarded them three points and three goals from their abandoned encounter against Vipers on October 4, a decision that has placed them firmly in the title conversation.
URA, however, will be eager to frustrate Kitara’s ambitions and keep their own campaign on track, setting up an intense battle at the Royal Park.
