Uganda Premier League side URA Football Club have officially completed the signing of experienced and versatile player Dissan Galiwango, boosting their squad as they push to improve their league position.
The Tax Collectors have successfully concluded negotiations for the highly-rated utility man, whose ability to play in multiple positions is expected to add both quality and depth to the URA setup.
Galiwango is renowned for his versatility, capable of operating as a roving left-back as well as a winger, making him a valuable option for the technical team in both defensive and attacking transitions.
The 27-year-old brings vast experience, having featured for several clubs in the Uganda Premier League, and also tested his ability in the Tanzanian League, where he gained further exposure and maturity.
His reputation rose sharply during his time at Express FC, where he delivered a standout campaign that saw him challenge for the top scorer’s golden boot, an impressive achievement for a player often deployed in wide roles.
That strong season previously attracted interest from top clubs, including the Kitende-based giants, who sought his signature in a competitive transfer race.
Galiwango’s arrival comes at a critical time for URA, who currently sit 13th on the Uganda Premier League table with 13 points, only two above the relegation zone.
His signing is seen as a major statement of intent as the club looks to stabilize its season and climb away from danger.
With the deal now done, URA fans will hope Galiwango’s energy, pace, and experience can inspire a turnaround in the second half of the campaign.
