The Buganda Region Football Associations (BRFA) have officially unveiled the fixtures for the second round of the 2025/26 Buganda Regional League, setting the stage for an intense battle in both the title race and relegation scrap.
The league resumes on Saturday, 8th March, with a single encounter on the menu. Synergy FC will entertain Masaka City FC at Ndeeba Kayunga Grounds as teams return from the mid-season interval aiming to strengthen their campaigns.
Action intensifies on Sunday, 9th March, with seven matches lined up across different venues in the region.
Seeta United will welcome Nyendo FC at Seeta Church of Uganda Grounds, while Super Eagles Lugongwe make a trip to Ntunda Primary School Grounds in Kyankwanzi for a showdown against Kajjansi United. Young Simba will be at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds where they host Kira United.
Elsewhere, Manyangwa lock horns with Nantabulirwa FC at Gayaza Lufula Grounds in a contest that could have implications at the lower end of the standings.
League leaders Simba FC face a tricky away assignment against Uganda Sports Arena at Ntenjeru Ssaza Grounds. Kiboga United will be hoping to boost their survival hopes when they take on Wobulenzi United at Ssaza Grounds in Kiboga.
In another high-stakes fixture, relegation-threatened Buikwe Red Stars travel to Buwambo Grounds to confront promotion-hopefuls Buwambo United FC.
At the summit, Simba FC sit comfortably with 36 points, closely monitored by second-placed Buwambo United on 32 points. The championship contest remains open with several matches still to play.
The relegation picture is equally compelling. Manyangwa FC, Kiboga United, Buikwe Red Stars, and Super Eagles Lugongwe currently occupy the bottom four positions and will need a strong second-round display to preserve their league status.
The second stanza of the campaign will run through to Sunday, 7th June. At the conclusion of the season, the table-topping side will be crowned champions of the Buganda Regional League.
The eventual winners will then square off against the champions of the Kampala Regional League, with the victor securing automatic promotion to the FUFA Big League.
