CAF Unveil “ITRI” As The Official Match Ball for AFCON Morocco 2025

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in partnership with global sports brand PUMA, has unveiled ITRI, the official match ball for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025.

Inspired by Morocco’s ancient zellij art, ITRI celebrates the unity, rhythm, and passion of African football.

Its name, meaning “star” in Amazigh, honours Morocco’s flag and the celestial designs found in traditional craftsmanship.

The ball’s red and green colours reflect Morocco’s national identity, while its intricate geometric and floral patterns symbolise ambition, growth, and togetherness.

Built with PUMA’s advanced Orbita 6 technology, ITRI combines cultural artistry with elite performance standards.

CAF’s Creative Development Manager, Mohamed Ghonemi, described ITRI as “a fusion of art and motion shaped by African spirit and Moroccan craftsmanship.” PUMA’s Peter Dangl added that the ball “embodies the unity and energy of African football while celebrating Moroccan heritage.”

The ITRI ball will make its debut in the opening match of AFCON 2025, setting the stage for a tournament full of colour, culture, and competition.
