Matchday 17 of the FUFA Big League provided plenty of excitement, with teams fighting for crucial points in both the promotion and relegation battles.
The round featured a mix of dominant performances, narrow victories, and a dramatic late winner that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Paidha Black Angels edged past a ten-man MYDA side with a dramatic 2-1 triumph at Bar Okoro Stadium, clinching three vital points courtesy of Opar Jacob’s last-gasp goal.
The home side took the lead in the 16th minute when Yoacel Raymond pounced on a rebound from Andrew Kaggwa’s deflected free kick, unleashing a powerful shot into the net.
However, MYDA’s hopes suffered an early blow when Ssemujju Denis received his marching orders just three minutes later for a reckless challenge on Opar, leaving his side a man down.
Despite the numerical advantage, Paidha Black Angels struggled to extend their lead, squandering numerous opportunities as Opakrwoth Benjamin and Frank Muna failed to convert clear-cut chances.

Their wastefulness allowed MYDA to claw back into the contest, with substitute Dawin Munguleni leveling matters in the 82nd minute.
Just when it seemed MYDA had salvaged a crucial point, Opar capitalized on a defensive lapse in the 88th minute, slotting home the winner to send the home crowd into jubilation.
The victory marks Paidha Black Angels’ second consecutive win in the second half of the campaign, boosting their tally to 26 points from 16 matches.
The result sees Paidha Black Angels climb to fifth in the standings, just six points adrift of leaders Blacks Power and three behind Buhimba Saints United, who currently occupy the final promotion spot.
Meanwhile, MYDA’s survival bid took another hit, as they remain anchored at the foot of the table in 15th place with 12 points from 15 games.
Looking ahead, Paidha Black Angels will be eager to build on their momentum when they travel to face Buhimba Saints United on Thursday, March 13, while MYDA will seek redemption at home against Onduparaka on Sunday, March 16.
