Following the decision to award them the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has formally acknowledged the ruling issued by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Appeals Committee.
In its reaction, the FRMF clarified that its position throughout the process was not aimed at disputing the on-field performances of the competing teams.
Instead, the federation stressed that its actions were driven purely by the need to ensure that tournament regulations were correctly interpreted and applied.
The Moroccan football body reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to upholding established rules, promoting transparency in competition structures, and safeguarding the consistency of African football tournaments.
In a message of sportsmanship, the FRMF also paid tribute to all nations that took part in the continental showpiece, describing the tournament as a significant celebration of African football.
The federation further indicated that a comprehensive statement will be released in the coming days after consultations with its executive and governing organs.
