Mpande Reagan Headlines Uganda Cranes CHAN Squad

Uganda Cranes co-head coaches Fred Muhumuza and Morley Byekwaso have unveiled the much-anticipated final squad for the upcoming 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), and among the standout names is none other than electric forward Mpande Reagan.

The announcement, made on Monday, July 28th, has sparked excitement among fans eager to see Uganda’s new wave of talent shine on the continental stage.

Mpande is not just a promising prospect, he’s a rising flame.

The SC Villa forward has been a revelation in recent seasons, catching eyes with his blistering pace, nimble footwork, and razor-sharp decision-making in the final third.

His inclusion adds youthful vibrancy and unpredictability to a Cranes side determined to make an impact.

Mpande lit up the 2024/25 StarTimes Uganda Premier League with four goals and five assists, proving instrumental in SC Villa’s title chase.

This follows his heroic exploits in the 2023/24 season, where he played a key role in delivering the Jogoos’ historic 17th league crown, a feat that reestablished their dominance in Ugandan football.

Having also donned the jerseys of Arua Hill SC and Ndejje University, Mpande brings with him a wealth of domestic experience despite his young age, along with a hunger to prove himself on the international stage.
