The Kampala Regional League, Uganda’s third-tier football competition, has once again released a new set of fixtures ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The latest fixture list, unveiled on Friday, October 24, comes with major updates, including a confirmed start date, television coverage, and a financial injection worth UGX 800 million.
The league is now scheduled to kick off on Sunday, November 2, with a double-header at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, both matches set to be broadcast live on FUFA TV.
This marks a significant step for the regional competition, which continues to attract attention for its unpredictable structure and growing fan base.
In the opening fixture, Lufula FC will face Proline FC at 4:00 PM, followed by Mbogo SC taking on Kisugu United at 7:00 PM.
The two games will officially usher in the new campaign under the lights in Kadiba.
Action will resume on Tuesday, November 4, with six matches lined up across various Kampala venues. Water FC will host Mutungo FC in a much-anticipated Nakawa Derby at UICT Grounds, while Edgars FC entertain Police Young FC at Muteesa II Stadium.
Elsewhere, Buganda Road FC welcome Black Stars FC at Express Grounds, Kanyanya, Kireka United FC play Lukuli Hearts United at Kings Park, Bweyogerere, Born Talent FC meet PCCP FC at Kyambogo College, and Nsambya SC clash with Wembley Boys FC at Yes Center, Nsambya. The day’s final game will see Lungujja Galaxy SC host Ntinda United FC at IUIU Kabojja Grounds.
This fixture release follows the earlier one that was canceled just hours before kickoff, forcing the organizing body to make adjustments to the league format.
Despite the disruptions, the Kampala Regional League continues to grow into one of the most followed competitions at the regional level, with this season promising better organization, broader media coverage, and more competitive football.
