Uganda Premier League outfit Police FC is on the verge of appointing former St Noa Girls FC tactician Tonny Mawejje as the club’s next Technical Director.
Reliable sources reveal that Mawejje has already shaken hands on a deal to take up the strategic role at the club he once proudly represented during his illustrious playing career.
The anticipated appointment comes shortly after Mawejje and his assistant, Vincent Kayizzi, mutually ended their stint with St Noa Girls FC in the Finance Trust Bank Women Super League. The duo opted to step aside following a brief but impactful spell.
Mawejje had taken over the reins at St Noa Girls earlier this season, succeeding Jimmy Kintu Mwera, who crossed to Uganda Premier League side Calvary FC.

Under his guidance, St Noa Girls finished the first round in fourth position, collecting a respectable 13 points.
Since hanging up his boots at the conclusion of the 2021/22 campaign, the former Uganda Cranes midfielder has steadily built his coaching résumé.
He previously served as assistant coach at Kampala Queens and later at Wakiso Giants FC, gaining valuable experience on the touchline.
Police FC is now banking on Mawejje’s vast football knowledge and leadership qualities as they seek to strengthen their technical setup and improve performances in the top flight.
