The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the final nominees for the much-anticipated 2025 CAF Awards, set to take place on Wednesday, November 19, in Rabat, Morocco.
The announcement includes the top three contenders across seven major men’s categories, celebrating standout performances between January 6 and October 15, 2025.
The headline category is the Men’s Player of the Year that features a star-studded trio: Egypt’s talisman Mohamed Salah, Nigeria’s prolific forward Victor Osimhen, and Morocco’s versatile fullback Achraf Hakimi.

Salah booked his place on the shortlist following a stellar season in which he guided Egypt to qualification for both the Africa Cup of Nations and the FIFA World Cup, while also lifting the English Premier League title with Liverpool.
Hakimi earned his nomination after an exceptional year with Paris Saint-Germain, where he won both the UEFA Champions League and Ligue 1, and played a key role in Morocco’s unbeaten runs to the Afcon and World Cup.

Osimhen, despite missing out on World Cup qualification with Nigeria, impressed with his goal-scoring exploits for Galatasaray and helped steer the Super Eagles to the Afcon finals.
