She Cranes Cruise Into Semi-Finals After Commanding Win Over Namibia

Uganda’s She Cranes marched confidently into the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Netball Cup after outclassing Namibia 47–39 in a decisive Group B showdown on Thursday at the vibrant Griffin Sayenda Sports Complex.

The result, Uganda’s second triumph over Namibia in just weeks following their Celtic Cup victory, underlined the She Cranes’ growing confidence and tactical maturity.

From the opening centre pass, Uganda dictated the tempo, circulating the ball with fluency, defending collectively, and attacking with measured precision.

Their early dominance produced a 14–5 cushion at the end of the first quarter before stretching the gap to 28–13 by halftime, leaving Namibia chasing shadows.

After the interval, Namibia attempted to claw their way back, injecting more urgency and physicality into their play.

But Uganda’s seasoned composure ensured that the tide never truly shifted.

The She Cranes managed the third quarter with authority, leading 37–28, and later closed out the contest with calm assurance to seal an eight-goal victory.

Shadia Nassanga once again proved indispensable. The sharp-shooting goal attacker delivered a masterful performance, accurate, poised, and relentless, earning herself the Player of the Match accolade.

Despite visible fatigue from the workload shared with midfield dynamo Margaret Baagala, Nassanga maintained her elite standards, symbolizing the team’s grit and determination.
