In a bold statement of intent ahead of the 2025 Masaza Cup, Ssingo Ssaza Football Team has unveiled a new-look technical bench led by Hamza Lutalo, a tactician renowned for nurturing talent and delivering results on big stages.
The two-time Masaza Cup champions announced Lutalo’s appointment as head coach during a special unveiling of their entire technical setup, signaling their ambitions to return to the summit of Buganda’s most prestigious football competition.
Joining Lutalo in the dugout is a team brimming with experience and expertise. Edward Golola, one of the most respected figures in Ugandan football coaching circles, takes on the role of technical director, bringing decades of strategic insight and leadership.
Bastu Ssemuyaba and Ndaula Isma have been named as first and second assistant coaches respectively, while Kato Ssenyange will take charge of the team’s physical conditioning as the fitness coach.
Lutalo’s coaching résumé speaks volumes. From guiding academic powerhouses like Buddo SS and Richmond SS, to shaping future stars at Hands of Grace School and the Uganda U-17 National Team.
His journey is a testament to his developmental prowess. Most recently, he held the reins at Victoria University FC, further sharpening his tactical acumen in Uganda’s top-tier football scene.
