Following the conclusion of the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64, the identity of the 32 teams that have progressed to the next stage has now been confirmed.
The latest round produced major talking points, with top-flight clubs once again dominating the draw, although not without casualties.
From the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, only Buhimba United Saints and Calvary FC failed to advance after suffering shock eliminations, leaving the rest of the top-flight representatives safely through.
Record joint winners KCCA FC and Express FC remain in contention, while reigning champions Vipers SC also marched into the Round of 32 after successfully navigating a tricky encounter against lower-league opposition.
However, the Round of 64 proved unforgiving for several familiar names. Former Uganda Premier League sides Wakiso Giants, Mbale Heroes, and Soltilo Bright Stars were all knocked out, ending their Uganda Cup journeys earlier than expected.
The upcoming Round of 32 is expected to deliver an exciting blend of elite Premier League outfits and ambitious underdogs, including surprise packages such as Football Classroom, Melody Star FC, and Happy Boys FC Kagaba, who will all be hoping to continue their fairytale run.
