UPL – Unbeaten BUL Visit Kitara in Matchday Seven Highlight

Thursday, November 20, 2025
Kitara vs BUL – Royal Park Butema, 4pm
Lugazi vs Express – Lugazi Stadium Najjembe, 4pm
SC Villa vs NEC – FUFA Stadium Kadiba, 8pm

The Uganda Premier League resumes with a blockbuster slate of fixtures, headlined by Kitara’s quest to snap BUL’s impressive unbeaten run at Royal Park Butema.

The Royals are eager to rebound after a narrow 1-0 defeat to SC Villa before the international break and will look to produce a strong response on home turf.

Facing them is a BUL side that has dominated this fixture in recent years. Abbey Kikomeko’s men are yet to lose to Kitara in league play, winning four of their last six meetings and drawing the other two.

Their only blemish against the Royals came in last season’s Stanbic Uganda Cup, a result that still stings for the Jinja-based outfit.

Kitara coach Wasswa Bbosa, however, believes his team has used the break effectively.
“They are a solid side with a well-organized technical bench, but we’ve corrected several issues since the Villa loss. Our target is maximum points,” Bbosa stated.

For Abbey kikomeko, the fixture comes with added emotion. The BUL coach returns to Butema, the venue where he received a long suspension following chaotic scenes in last season’s Cup clash.

His side sits 4th on the log with 10 points from six matches, while Kitara are positioned 10th on seven points from five outings.

Elsewhere on Thursday, Lugazi welcome Express to Najjembe in what promises to be a feisty contest, while NEC make the short trip to Kadiba for an evening showdown with record champions SC Villa.
