Victoria University’s pride and power have found new expression on the basketball court as the Victoria She Crocs officially sealed their place in the 2026 National Basketball League (NBL) top Division after dispatching Makerere University Sparks in an electrifying semifinal series, winning 3–1 in the best-of-five showdown at Hams Stadium on Sunday 9, November.
The She Crocs, who dominated the regular season to finish top of the table, showcased both grit and grace in their promotion campaign, proving they are a force ready to conquer the country’s basketball elite.
At the heart of this historic triumph was playmaker Toskin Thelma, whose commanding court vision, composure under pressure, and playmaking artistry turned every possession into a highlight reel. Her leadership and determination have become the heartbeat of the She Crocs’ success story.

Head Coach Serunyigo Roger, hailed as the architect of this dream run, masterminded a disciplined, fast-paced style that blended teamwork and flair, a formula that has redefined the team’s identity and inspired a winning culture at Victoria University.
Speaking after the game, Patrick Ssebuliba, the University’s Head of Sports, could not hide his pride:
“This qualification means everything to Victoria University. Coach Serunyigo has built not just a team, but a legacy. The She Crocs have shown that discipline, passion, and teamwork can turn ambition into achievement.”
With their sights now set on the NBL Premier Division 2026 season, the Victoria She Crocs are ready to make their mark among Uganda’s basketball giants, carrying the University’s flag higher than ever before.
