Four-time Uganda Premier League champions URA FC have fortified their technical team by bringing in experienced coach Edward Golola as the club’s first assistant coach.
The veteran tactician, a household name in Ugandan football circles, joins head coach Alex Isabirye’s backroom staff and has already begun his duties as the club gears up for the forthcoming campaign.
In an official communication, the Tax Collectors confirmed Golola’s arrival, noting that his wealth of experience will be instrumental in pushing the team’s ambitions for the new season.

Golola previously guided Vipers SC to two league crowns, making him one of the most decorated local coaches.
At URA, Golola will deputize Alex Isabirye, while Richard Kasule assumes the role of second assistant coach.
The club has also entrusted Crespo Asiku as third assistant coach, with Manko Kaweesa and Isma Serebe taking charge of performance analysis and statistics.
Meanwhile, Jamil Ddamba will handle fitness and goalkeeping responsibilities.
URA last lifted the Uganda Premier League trophy in 2011, and the management has been keen on revamping both the playing squad and technical setup.
The club has secured the services of several new faces, including Arthur Kiggundu, Ronald Otti, Nelson Senkatuka, and Chrispus Kusiima, as they seek to reclaim past glory.
