Serbian coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević has secured a new chapter in his managerial career after being confirmed as the latest head coach of ES Sétif, one of Algeria’s most decorated football clubs.
The appointment, first reported by African football insider Micky Jnr, places Micho at the helm on a 18-month contract, marking his return to top-level coaching after a brief period without a club. He had been unattached since parting company with El Merreikh towards the end of last season.

Micho takes over from Taoufik Rouabah, with the Sétif hierarchy opting for a seasoned and well-travelled figure to guide the team forward.
The veteran tactician brings vast experience, having worked across multiple African leagues and national teams. His résumé features roles at Orlando Pirates, Zamalek, Young Africans, SC Villa, St. George, and Al Hilal, making him one of the most familiar faces in African dugouts.
Internationally, he has overseen the national sides of Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, and Libya, earning respect for his deep tactical insight on the continent.
His new club, ES Sétif (Entente Sportive Sétifienne), are perennial giants in Algerian football, boasting eight Ligue 1 titles and eight Algerian Cup triumphs. They also have a rich continental pedigree, having captured the CAF Champions League twice, most recently in 2014 when they defeated Yunus Sentamu’s AS Vita in the final.
