Kitara FC will be out to maintain their impressive run against Maroons FC when the two sides lock horns at Luzira Prison Grounds on Thursday afternoon as the Uganda Premier League returns with Match Day 16 action.
The Hoima-based Royals have enjoyed dominance over the Prison Warders in recent meetings, having remained unbeaten against Maroons since suffering defeat in their first-ever topflight encounter back in 2023.
Since then, Kitara have turned the tide completely, winning their last three consecutive clashes.
In the reverse fixture played earlier this season, Kitara claimed a convincing 2-0 win thanks to a brace from striker Patrick Kaddu, who coincidentally previously featured for Maroons.

The forward is once again expected to be key as Kitara search for another crucial result away from home.
Kitara currently sit fifth on 29 points and victory at Luzira would propel Wasswa Bbosa’s side into second place, further strengthening their push for a strong finish in the first round.
The Royals head into Thursday’s contest in high spirits after winning three of their last four league matches, a run that has reignited belief within the squad.
On the other hand, Maroons have endured a difficult spell, failing to register a win in their last four league outings.
The hosts are ninth on 18 points but a win would see them rise to 21 points and climb to seventh position, making Thursday’s contest a must-win in their bid to return to winning ways.
