The stage is set for an exciting climax to the Pepsi University Football League following the official semifinal draw held on Good Friday at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo.
Four universities remain in contention, with mouthwatering fixtures lined up as teams battle for a place in the final.
Kampala University will square off with YMCA Comprehensive in one of the semifinals, while Muteesa 1 Royal University takes on St. Lawrence University in the other tie.
St. Lawrence University booked their place in the last four in dominant fashion, eliminating Ndejje University with a commanding 5-1 aggregate victory, including a 3-0 win in the second leg.
They now face a tricky test against Muteesa 1 Royal University, who knocked out defending champions Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi on the away goals rule after a 2-2 aggregate draw.
Muteesa 1 Royal University will host the first leg of their semifinal clash on Thursday, April 9, before traveling to Kavule for the decisive return leg the following week.
In the other semifinal, Kampala University two-time champions of the competition (2013 and 2016) will lock horns with tournament surprise package YMCA Comprehensive.
Kampala University progressed past Bugema University on away goals after a 1-1 aggregate draw, while YMCA edged Kumi University 2-1 on aggregate to reach their historic first semifinal.
Kampala University will host the opening leg on Tuesday, April 7, with the return fixture scheduled for the following week at Buwambo.
