The countdown to the grand climax of the 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup has officially begun, with the iconic Hamz Stadium Nakivubo receiving the green light to host the prestigious final on November 1.
With just three weeks left to the much-anticipated showdown, the Masaza Cup Organizing Committee (MCOC) led by Minister of Youth, Sports and Arts, Hon. Robert Sserwanga, conducted an inspection tour at the newly refurbished stadium to assess its readiness.
The delegation was warmly received by Rodgers Mulindwa, the Stadium Manager, alongside members of the Nakivubo management committee, in what was described as a fruitful engagement between Mengo officials and the facility administrators.

Mulindwa assured the visiting delegation that Nakivubo is more than ready to deliver a memorable experience for the Masaza Cup faithful.
“This is the perfect stadium to host the Masaza Cup final. From ordinary fans to VVIPs, everyone will enjoy a first-class experience. Our seats are comfortable and well-spaced, and we have a sufficient number of VIP boxes. Fans will also enjoy a clear view of the action thanks to our state-of-the-art giant screens,” Mulindwa emphasized.
Minister Sserwanga expressed his satisfaction with the stadium’s preparedness and announced the eagerly awaited ticketing schedule and pricing.
“We are pleased with the level of readiness at Nakivubo. All arrangements for the final are progressing well, and tickets will officially go on sale starting October 8,” the Minister confirmed.
For the first time in the tournament’s history, tickets will be available online. Early buyers will enjoy discounted rates from October 8 to 20, with ordinary tickets at UGX 25,000 and VIP tickets at UGX 45,000.
Thereafter, from October 21 until matchday, prices will rise to UGX 30,000 and UGX 50,000, respectively.
The 2024 Masaza Cup semifinalists have also been confirmed, setting the stage for electrifying clashes. Two-time champions Ssingo will lock horns with Bugerere, while Buweekula takes on Kyaggwe, last year’s finalists.
The first legs are set for October 12, with the return legs slated for October 19.
