Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put has unveiled a 26-man roster ahead of the decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Botswana and Algeria.
The national team will first travel to Francistown on Thursday, 9th October to face Botswana before clashing with group leaders Algeria on Tuesday, 14th October at the Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium.
With Uganda still in the race for a ticket to next year’s global showpiece, the upcoming double-header is a defining window.

The Cranes sit second in Group G and trail Algeria, who have 19 points. The Desert Foxes require just one more victory in their remaining home ties against Somalia and Uganda to officially seal their progression.
However, a lifeline remains for Uganda through the slots reserved for the four best second-placed teams across the ten groups.
Coach Put’s squad features a balanced blend of experience and youthful energy across all departments.
