Rwamanja Stadium, Kamwenge – 4pm
KCCA FC will be chasing a return to the summit of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League when they make the trip to Kamwenge to face a struggling Mbarara City side in the final fixture of matchday eight.
The Kasasiro Boys, currently second with 14 points, trail rivals SC Villa by just two points and know that victory on Friday evening would propel them back to the league’s pinnacle.
The visitors are boosted by the return of co-head coach Brian Ssenyondo, who rejoins the technical bench after national duty with the Uganda U17 side.
He comes back alongside youngsters Brain Jjara and Steven Oyirowth, who were part of the recent World Cup campaign.

KCCA will also welcome back the duo of Shafik Kwikiriza and Herbert Achai, both of whom missed the 2-1 triumph over URA following engagements with the senior Uganda Cranes team.
Last season’s meeting between the two sides ended in controversy, with Mbarara City awarded three points in the boardroom despite losing 2-0 on the turf after KCCA was penalised for fielding Gavin Kizito, who had accumulated three yellow cards.
Mbarara City, who sit second from the foot of the table with just five points, have endured a slow start to the campaign, managing only one win so far.
They will be desperate to spark a revival, but they face an in-form and fully loaded KCCA side eager to assert their title credentials once again.
