Vipers Unleash 20-Man Army for CAF Champions League Mission in Cape Town

Uganda Premier League kings Vipers SC have unveiled a 20-man squad brimming with firepower and fresh faces ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg showdown against Namibia’s African Stars in Cape Town this Friday.

The Venoms fly out tonight with their sights set on striking first blood away from home before the decisive return leg under the floodlights of Kitende in Kampala.

Victory over the Namibian giants would set up a mouthwatering second-round clash against either Zambia’s Power Dynamos or Ivorian heavyweights ASEC Mimosas.

Leading the charge is last season’s lethal finisher Allan Okello, whose sharp instincts in front of goal remain a priceless weapon.

He will be flanked by exciting new signings Kevin Dasylva Bady, Enock Ssebaggala, and towering striker Mark Yallah, all eager to make their continental bow in Vipers’ colours.

Noticeably absent from the traveling party are young prospects Usama Arafat Kizza and Kenneth Kimera, both left behind as head coach Ivan Minnaert opts for a blend of tested experience and fresh dynamism.
